Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Manager, Bus Procurement to lead the development of Singapore’s next-generation bus fleet. You will help replace half of the 6,000-strong fleet with electric vehicles by 2030, working at the intersection of engineering, policy, and sustainability to shape procurement strategies.

You will engage with global manufacturers, perform end-to-end procurement, and contribute to asset resilience and performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Engineering (Electrical, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Automotive or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in automotive or engineering.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply.
• Proactive, self-motivated with ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support fleet renewal and replacement strategies across the public bus network.
• Draft tender specifications and evaluate submissions.
• Conduct quality assurance through pre-delivery inspections.
• Build relationships with overseas bus manufacturers and suppliers.
• Conduct market research and design specifications for future tenders.
• Assist in procurement budgeting and cost control.
