Job summary

sggovterp seeks a Manager, Bus Procurement to lead Singapore’s next-generation public bus fleet. You will shape procurement strategies for replacing up to half of a 6,000-strong fleet with electric vehicles by 2030, collaborating with engineering, policy and sustainability stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside proficiency in IT.
• Knowledge in Engineering (Electrical, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Automotive or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Support Fleet Renewal and Replacement: assist in developing strategies to renew and replace fleet to meet objectives across the public bus network.
• Tender Specifications & Evaluation: draft new bus requirements, prepare tender specifications and evaluate submissions for best value.
• Quality Assurance: conduct pre-delivery inspections and testing to ensure contract specs and standards are met.
• Partnership Management: build and nurture relationships with overseas bus manufacturers and suppliers, staying informed on innovations.
• Market Research & Design Specifications: research emerging bus technologies and trends to inform design requirements.
• Procurement Budget: support cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards within budget.
