QUINTESSENTIAL EDUCATION CENTRE LLP in Singapore is seeking a Full-Time IGCSE Science Tutor to deliver engaging lessons for Grade 4–10 students. The role involves 1-on-1 and group sessions, focusing on theory, problem-solving, and data-driven practice to build strong science foundations.

The ideal candidate has a solid Science background, strong communication skills, and familiarity with the IGCSE syllabus. This in-person position offers a 5-day week with weekday and some weekend hours.

Qualifications

Full-Time IGCSE Science Tutor

Location: 545 Orchard Road, #14-06/09, Singapore 238882 Start Date: ASAP Commitment: Full-Time (In-person only)

About the Role

We are hiring a Science Tutor with deep subject knowledge and a passion for simplifying complex concepts. If you enjoy helping students understand Science through both conceptual clarity and practice, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

• Teach Primary and IGCSE Science to Grade 4–10 students, including Lower Secondary Science and IGCSE Combined/Coordinated Science, in both 1-on-1 and group settings.
• Conduct structured lessons on theory, problem-solving, practical concepts, and data response.
• Break down challenging topics (e.g. mechanics, electricity, chemical reactions, cells, and human biology)
• Run mock assessments and timed practices with feedback
• Develop and maintain resource banks and lesson slides
• Participate in curriculum planning and academic workshops

Requirements

• Strong academic background in Science
• Effective communicator, especially in explaining complex scientific concepts.
• Familiar with the IGCSE Science syllabus
• Committed to helping students improve through clear instruction and feedback
• Able to create well-structured notes and exercises
• Applicants must be currently based in Singapore and legally eligible to work in Singapore.

Graduates and senior tutors are preferred. Strong undergraduates are also welcome to apply.

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: $4,500 – $8,000

Work Schedule

• 5-day week (4 weekdays + 1 weekend)
• Weekdays: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
