Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a talented Cafe Service Crew/Cook for a full-time role in the Ang Mo Kio North-East region of Singapore. You will balance front-of-house service with back-of-house cooking to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

You will greet guests, take orders, cook to spec, maintain hygiene, and work with the team to meet peak-time targets while upholding food quality and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a cook or kitchen assistant in a hospitality setting.
• Experience in a fast-paced cafe or casual dining environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both kitchen and service staff.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask during busy service periods.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems and ordering procedures is advantageous.
• Relevant food safety or hospitality certifications are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to specification, ensuring consistent quality and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service during their dining experience
• Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen in a timely manner
• Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism and attention to detail
• Manage table turnover efficiently and respond promptly to guest requests and queries
• Assist with food preparation, plating and garnishing to ensure dishes meet our presentation standards
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to management
• Support the team in maintaining a welcoming, clean and well-organised dining environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet service targets during peak periods
