Job summary

Professor Brawn Cafe, a social enterprise, invites applicants for the Cook position to support its inclusive workforce, serving Asian and Western cuisines. You will cook, plate to specifications, and maintain kitchen standards to ensure consistent quality.

Location is Pathlight School Ang Mo Kio Campus 1 with 44 hours per week (Mon–Sat). We welcome candidates who are committed to learning about autism and helping people with special needs; only shortlisted applicants will be notified.

Qualifications

• Culinary/food preparation experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to be redeployed and work in different locations.
• Motivation to learn about Autism and help people with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Cook and plate Asian and Western items to specifications.
• Maintain consistent food quality and service.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organized.
• Ensure hygiene in prep and storage per NEA guidelines.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Cafe Manager.

As a Cook, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

• Ensure food items (Asian and Western cuisines) are cooked and plated accurately to specifications
• Maintain proper consistency of food quality and service
• Ensure areas of responsibility are clean, tidy and organized
• Ensure general cleanliness and hygiene in food prep and storage are in accordance with NEA guidelines
• Any other duties as assigned by Cafe Manager

• Candidates with relevant experience in culinary / food preparation skills for Asian and Western cuisines will be preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable with being redeployed and working in different locations
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
• Strong desire to learn about Autism and the passion to help special needs individuals

Location: Pathlight School (Ang Mo Kio Campus 1)

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 44 hours per week
