Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. is seeking a skilled full stack engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services for the COMPASS platform.

You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, design reusable components, and implement RESTful APIs and microservices. You will work with UI/UX designers and business users in an Agile environment, applying frontend best practices, secure coding, and production support to ensure robust, scalable software

Qualifications

• Experience in full stack application development and building enterprise-grade web applications.
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js, or equivalents.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot.
• Frontend best practices: responsive design, accessibility, performance, components, state management.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, API integration, and microservices architecture.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Experience with GitLab source control, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and backend services supporting the COMPASS platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and use interfaces for COMPASS platform.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices to support business functions and data processing requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system features.
• Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and scalable software components.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Apply frontend engineering best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement secure coding practices and comply with LTA security requirements.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and business users to improve application usability and user experience.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Support application troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support activities
• Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver solutions and support knowledge sharing across the project team.

Experience & Skills Needed

• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, with familiarity in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Experience with GitLab source control, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
