Job summary

Manus AI is seeking engineers who can own features end to end across web frontend, mobile, and backend services. You should be comfortable judging technical approaches, delivering high quality code, and collaborating with product and design teams to meet business needs.

Job description

Build product features end to end, from the frontend to business backend services, and own the technical decisions, implementation, and rollout. We welcome candidates with a web frontend, mobile, or business backend background, as long as you have real depth in one of them and are willing to grow into the others.

Responsibilities

• Own product features end to end across the web frontend, mobile apps, and business backend services, from understanding requirements and designing solutions to rollout and production maintenance.
• Independently judge whether a technical approach will work, take responsibility for your own code and delivery quality, and proactively discuss with colleagues when you are unsure about an approach.
• Work closely with product, design, and other engineers to understand business and user needs and deliver features with high quality.
• Drive projects in an AI-native way: proactively use AI tools to improve development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation workflows, and help bring Agent and LLM capabilities into the product.
• Continuously improve code quality, performance, stability, and observability, and track down and fix production issues.

Requirements

• Several years of deep, hands‑on experience in at least one of web frontend, mobile (iOS / Android), or business backend development, with a solid grasp of the key implementation details and technical trade‑offs in that area.
• Ability to extend into other parts of the stack and deliver complete cross‑stack features independently; candidates who have focused on one area so far and want to grow into full‑stack work are also welcome.
• Experience building user‑facing products at a large internet company, or at an AI or internet startup.
• Ability to judge the feasibility of technical approaches independently, without relying on others' code reviews as a safety net, and to take responsibility for delivery quality and outcomes.
• Ability to break down and drive projects in an AI-native way, making good use of AI tools to improve development efficiency, delivery quality, and collaboration.
• Ability to collaborate on technical work in Mandarin and to read, write and participate in day‑to‑day technical communication in English.
• Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership, with the initiative to drive work forward and a desire to keep writing code hands‑on.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full‑stack experience delivering complete features across frontend and backend (or mobile and backend) on your own.
• A strong sense for AI and Agent products, with experience building LLM applications or Agent‑related features.
• Experience using production data such as logs and monitoring to find problems and drive improvements.
• Open‑source projects, personal technical projects, or a technical blog.
