BYD (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Engineer to provide frontline technical support, respond to emergency breakdowns, and assist the engineering team to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, automotive or related engineering field.
1-2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates welcome).
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and equipment diagnostics preferred.
Ability to work under pressure during emergencies.

Responsibilities

Attend and troubleshoot emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Respond to technical calls and provide timely advice or escalation.
Assist in diagnosing faults and carry out corrective actions per SOPs.
Document breakdown cases and corrective measures for reporting.
Coordinate with vendors or internal departments when extra resources are required.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards and company policies.
Be on standby during off-peak hours (9:00 PM - 6:30 AM) roster Tue - Saturday / Sun - Thursday.
Arrive at breakdown site within 1 hour upon activation.
Ensure readiness with tools, equipment and PPE for immediate response.
Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
