Job summary

OpenAI's Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with customers to turn research breakthroughs into production systems. As a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Singapore, you will lead end-to-end deployments of frontier models, owning discovery, scoping, design, build, and production rollout with customer teams.

You will collaborate with Product, Research, Partnerships, GRC, Security, and GTM to measure success through adoption and impact, while balancing scope, speed, and quality in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering or deployment experience with customer-facing work.
• Experience designing and deploying end-to-end production systems.
• Production-grade coding in Python/JavaScript or equivalent stacks.
• Experience with LLMs or generative models and impact on product experience.
• Clear communication with engineers, product teams, and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery across deployments from prototype to production.
• Build full-stack systems delivering customer value and enabling learning.
• Embed with customer teams, understand needs, guide adoption of what you build.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, remove blockers early.
• Make trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality; adjust plans to protect delivery.
• Contribute directly in code when needed to accelerate progress.
• Codify working patterns into tools, playbooks, or building blocks for reuse.
• Share field feedback to inform Research and Product roadmaps.
• Keep teams moving through clarity and follow-through.
