Job summary

Microsec is seeking a highly motivated Frontend Developer Intern to join the fast-growing cybersecurity startup. You will work on graph-heavy UIs, data visualizations, and real-time updates in a multi-disciplinary team.

Gain hands-on experience in UI/UX, API integration, testing, CI/CD, and containerized development within a dynamic environment. Ideal for students or recent graduates in CS/engineering/IT with strong Angular/TypeScript skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate in CS/engineering/IT or related field.
• Strong experience with Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+).
• Experience with NgRx for state management and D3.js visualizations.
• Proficient in responsive UI design and RESTful APIs integration.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Awareness of frontend testing (Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Mocha).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain graph-heavy front-end interfaces using Angular and D3.js.
• Implement state management with NgRx for scalable UI.
• Create responsive visualizations with real-time updates via GraphQL/WebSockets.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to convert mockups to production interfaces.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend teams in a SOA/DevSecOps environment.
• Optimize performance with code splitting, caching, and tooling like Lighthouse.
• Build reusable components and testing pipelines (Selenium, Cypress, Jest).
• Contribute to frontend security practices (HTTPS, CORS).
• Work in a CI/CD Linux environment using Docker and GitLab CI.

The intern will work closely with our leadership team to contribute to the development of a unique platform experience. We are seeking a highly motivated Frontend developer intern to join our technical team. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in UI/UX, design principles, API integration, Testing, CI/CD, Containerized application buidling within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain graph-heavy, interactive front-end interfaces using Angular and D3.js.
• Implement state management using libraries like NgRx to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Build responsive and performant visualizations that work across devices and support deep zoom, data aggregation, and real-time updates using GraphQL, Fetch API, and WebSockets.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to convert wireframes and Figma/Sketch/InVision mockups into production-grade interfaces.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and work closely with backend engineers on service-oriented architectures (SoA) and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Optimize performance with code splitting, asset compression, caching, and monitoring tools like Lighthouse and WebPageTest.
• Write reusable components and custom libraries, particularly for visualizations and data handling.
• Implement and maintain automated testing pipelines using Selenium, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, and similar frameworks.
• Contribute to frontend security by enforcing secure development practices (HTTPS, CORS handling, etc.).
• Work in a CI/CD Linux environment using Docker, GitLab CI, and containerized services.

Who You Are

• Currently enrolled (or immediate graduate) in or recently graduated from a program in Computer science, engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), including Jquery and asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await, AJAX).
• Experience with state management libraries like NgRx or equivalent.
• Proven experience developing rich data visualizations and graph-heavy frontends using D3.js or similar libraries.
• Experience handling responsive web design for complex UIs with multiple zoom levels and data overlays.
• Proficient in CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind) and preprocessors (SASS, LESS).
• Solid UI/UX knowledge, including use of Figma, Sketch, or InVision for prototyping and interface design.
• Strong working knowledge of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger specs, and integration best practices.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker-based workflows in Linux environments.
• Exposure to testing frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or Mocha for frontend testing.
• Understanding of frontend performance tuning (code splitting, caching, garbage collection) and tools like Lighthouse and WebPageTest.
• Knowledge of security practices such as HTTPS enforcement, CORS handling, and secure API interactions.
