Job summary

CMC-APAC PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an experienced frontend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. You will build responsive UI components in Vue.js within an Agile/DevOps environment and translate UI/UX designs into accessible interfaces.

The role requires 3+ years in frontend development, strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills, and experience with modern frameworks, CI/CD, AWS, and Storybook. Government sector exposure and IM8/DSS familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years in frontend development and engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with Vue.js / Vue Framework (and any other design frameworks such as React and Angular).
• Good understanding of modern frontend architecture, reusable components and responsive web development.
• Experience translating UI/UX designs into intuitive, responsive and accessible user interfaces; familiarity with WCAG.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including code quality, testing, maintainability and performance.
• Adherence to software craftsmanship principles, ensuring clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Experience implementing and/or managing CI/CD pipelines and frontend build/deployment processes.
• Experience developing, deploying or operating web applications on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).
• Experience using Storybook for UI component development and documentation.
• Preferred proven experience in supporting/completing government sector systems.
• Preferred familiarity with Government Instruction Manual 8 (IM8) policies and Digital Service Standards (DSS).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project/Product teams to refine user stories and translate them into technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible web components that deliver excellent user experiences.
• Implement and enforce frontend best practices, including component reusability, performance optimization, and accessibility.
• Ensure frontend security best practices, including protection against XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities; integrate static code analysis and security testing tools; support security assessments.
• Document technical decisions, architectural patterns, and frontend best practices.
