Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. is seeking an experienced frontend engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable web applications within a design platform portal. You will implement reusable components, enforce accessibility, and collaborate across teams to translate user stories into technical solutions.

The role emphasizes security-minded development, performance optimization, and CI/CD workflows, with cloud-based deployments (AWS) and UI component documentation using Storybook.

Qualifications

• Frontend engineering experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• At least 3 years in frontend development and engineering experience.
• Strong Vue.js experience (and familiarity with React/Angular).
• Understanding of modern frontend architecture and accessible UI.
• Experience translating UI/UX designs into responsive interfaces, WCAG-aware.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: code quality, testing, performance.
• Experience implementing/staffing CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment.
• Experience developing/web apps on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Familiarity with Storybook for UI component development.

Job description

Role Overview

The candidate will support a design platform portal (Digital Experience Plus) that supports multiple digital services and products, design, develop, and maintain intuitive, high-performance and scalable web applications/components. The role requires strong hands-on frontend engineering capability, with experience delivering production-grade applications in an Agile and DevOps environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Platform Operations:
2. Collaborate with Project/Product teams to refine user stories and translate them into technical requirements
3. Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible web components that deliver excellent user experiences.
4. Implement and enforce frontend best practices, including component reusability, performance optimization, and accessibility.
5. Ensure frontend security best practices, including protection against XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities. This includes integrating static code analysis and application security testing tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify on Demand) into the development workflow, as well as supporting broader security assessments such as web vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and cloud infrastructure penetration tests.
6. Document technical decisions, architectural patterns, and frontend best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

1. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
2. At least 3 years in frontend development and engineering experience
3. Strong hands-on development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
4. Strong experience with Vue.js / Vue Framework (and any other design frameworks such as React and Angular)
5. Good understanding of modern frontend architecture, reusable components and responsive web development
6. Experience translating UI/UX designs into intuitive, responsive and accessible user interfaces; familiarity with UI/UX best practices and familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
7. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including code quality, testing, maintainability and performance
8. Adherence to software craftsmanship principles, ensuring clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
9. Experience implementing and/or managing CI/CD pipelines and frontend build/deployment processes
10. Experience developing, deploying or operating web applications on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).
11. Experience using Storybook for UI component development and documentation.
12. Preferred proven experience in supporting / completion of government sector systems
13. Preferred familiarity with Government Instruction Manual 8 (IM8) policies and Digital Service Standards (DSS)
