Job summary

USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCHERS PTE. LTD is seeking a frontend engineer with 3+ years of frontend development experience to design and deliver high-quality web interfaces.

You will collaborate with Project/Product teams to translate requirements into robust, accessible components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Vue.js, while applying security best practices and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Must have formal education in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of frontend development experience.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript with Vue.js experience.
• Familiar with WCAG and accessible UI design.
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of frontend security practices and tooling.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Design Platform Operations

• Collaborate with Project/Product teams to refine user stories and translate them into technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible web components that deliver excellent user experiences.
• Implement and enforce frontend best practices, including component reusability, performance optimization, and accessibility.
• Ensure frontend security best practices, including protection against XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities. This includes integrating static code analysis and application security testing tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify on Demand) into the development workflow, as well as supporting broader security assessments such as web vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and cloud infrastructure penetration tests.
• Document technical decisions, architectural patterns, and frontend best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years in frontend development and engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with Vue.js / Vue Framework (and any other design frameworks such as React and Angular).
• Good understanding of modern frontend architecture, reusable components and responsive web development.
• Experience translating UI/UX designs into intuitive, responsive and accessible user interfaces; familiarity with UI/UX best practices and familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including code quality, testing, maintainability and performance.
• Adherence to software craftsmanship principles, ensuring clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Experience implementing and/or managing CI/CD pipelines and frontend build/deployment processes.
• Experience developing, deploying or operating web applications on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).
• Experience using Storybook for UI component development and documentation.
• Preferred proven experience in supporting / completion of public sector or regulated-environment systems.
• Preferred familiarity with applicable security, technology, and digital service standards.
