Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Singapore seeks a Currencies & Emerging Markets Trading Assistant to support senior traders on a fast-paced trading floor. You will help with pre-trade analysis, inbound and outbound trade processing, and post-trade controls while gaining exposure to live markets and client workflows.

You will learn market drivers, risk management concepts, and cross-asset implications as you contribute to timely market insights and accurate product information for institutional clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related discipline.
• Strong interest in global financial markets and understanding of global market processes.
• Ability to explain fundamental and technical aspects of traded products and related support functions.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day client requests and needs.
• Monitor market drivers, moves, and cross-asset implications to inform trading desk activity and client conversations.
• Assist senior traders in managing risk, liquidity, and exposure across the desk's product coverage.
• Perform pre-trade analysis and support design of risk management approaches for larger trades.
• Process inbound and outbound trades and support end-to-end execution workflows.
• Track supply and demand dynamics and evaluate market developments to provide accurate product information for clients.
• Resolve profit and loss reconciliation issues and investigate breaks independently.
• Ensure post-trade entries are accurate and follow internal controls.
• Apply applicable legal, regulatory, and internal risk management policies in day-to-day activities.
• Contribute ideas and share knowledge that help the team succeed.
