Job summary

Flare Consulting is seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to own the target-state architecture for a front-office transformation. You will drive design decisions, lead integration work with vendors and partners, and act as the technical voice across platforms from PMS to trading systems.

You will map current workflows, define future requirements, and shape the multi-year investment technology roadmap while ensuring high performance, security and resilience across cloud data platforms like Snowflake.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in technology, with 5+ years in buy-side investment technology.
• Current or recent role as Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Lead Engineer or Investment Technology Lead.
• Hands-on delivery of at least one front-office platform implementation or migration (PMS/OMS/EMS) in a design-owning role.
• Clear understanding of the end-to-end investment lifecycle: research, portfolio management, order management, pre-trade compliance, trading, risk, performance and downstream ops.
• Proven design of complex integrations and data flows across multiple investment platforms.
• Experience working with senior investment and technology stakeholders and managing vendors/integrators/consultants.
• Eligible to work in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Map current workflows and define future-state requirements.
• Own the solution architecture across PM, OMS, execution, compliance, risk, performance and market data platforms.
• Define the target-state architecture and migration path from legacy platforms.
• Design integrations: APIs, event-driven patterns, data pipelines and cloud services.
• Set data ownership, lineage, reconciliation and control standards for critical data domains.
• Collaborate with data engineering on scalable Snowflake and cloud solutions.
• Define non-functional requirements: performance, availability, security, resilience, observability.
• Lead technical design reviews and guide engineering, data, integration and testing teams.
• Challenge vendor designs and enforce technical milestones and standards.
• Contribute to platform selection, build-vs-buy decisions and technology roadmap.
• Promote CI/CD, automated testing, cybersecurity and operational resilience.
