Job summary

OCBC Group in Singapore invites applications for a Front Office Risk Management role. You will support risk utilisation for front office desks, collaborate with second line risk and finance, and help design risk frameworks.

The role requires a quantitative degree and strong data interpretation skills, with a proactive, independent mindset. You will work with project managers and developers to create new risk tools and analytics, driving growth while ensuring controls and regulatory alignment

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in risk analytics/management.
• Good university degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Financial Engineering, Computing, etc.).
• Strong ability deciphering data to perform quantitative analysis.
• Analytical and independent thinker with good written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex technical subjects in a simple straightforward manner to senior management.
• Self-driven, able to provide creative or alternative solutions to address business problems to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support the front office desks in managing their risk utilisation, collaborating to manage risk appetites and conduct P&L analysis with controls across desks.
• Respond to queries from business, second line risk, finance, auditors or regulators; ensure sound risk management and controls.
• Work with front office, project managers and developers on design and development of new risk management frameworks and capabilities.
• Drive a sustainable growth strategy by developing new risk management approaches, tools, and analytics to create efficiencies and implement better controls.
