Job summary

RHAELM seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer in Singapore to embed with strategic customers, scoping, building, and shipping production AI systems. You’ll own multiple deployments, ensure adoption, and report to the FDE Lead for Asia Pacific & Japan.

You will collaborate with regional teams to align delivery with customer needs, shape product direction, and uphold strict production standards in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with production systems experience.
• 1+ year in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-embedded roles.
• Track record of shipping full-stack/data pipelines into production environments.
• Experience navigating enterprise/government environments, security and data residency constraints (PDPA).
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into concrete plans.

This Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Singapore, you will embed directly with our strategic customers to scope, build, and ship production AI systems. Your job is to make sure our technology lands in customer environments as working, adopted production systems, not proofs of concept.

You will own hands-on delivery of one or more complex customer deployments, reporting to the FDE Lead for Asia Pacific & Japan, and your field insight will shape our global product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Own discovery and technical scoping for your customer deployments, turning ambiguous requirements into a concrete delivery plan

• Build and ship production AI systems and integrations directly within customer environments, working alongside their engineering and domain teams

• Act as technical owner for escalated production issues on your deployments and drive them to resolution

• Partner with the regional FDE Lead, Infrastructure, and GTM teams to align delivery capacity with customer requirements and commitments

• Apply and improve reusable deployment patterns, playbooks, and tooling to increase delivery speed and consistency across the region

• Feed field insight and recurring customer requirements back to our global Product and Research teams

• Uphold the regional FDE team's standards for code quality, evaluation rigour, and production readiness

• Represent RHAELM's technical capability to customer engineering and operations stakeholders

• Help prioritise across concurrent workstreams within your customer engagements

Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including production system design, deployment, and ownership

• 1+ years in a forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-embedded technical role

• A track record of shipping full-stack systems, data pipelines, or agentic/LLM-based applications into production customer environments

• Experience navigating enterprise or government customer environments, including security, compliance, and data residency constraints (such as Singapore's PDPA)

• Experience working through ambiguous customer requirements with limited initial specification

Skills

• Strong hands-on engineering ability across backend, data, and AI/ML integration

• Structured problem decomposition, turning an ambiguous customer brief into a concrete technical plan

• Clear customer-facing communication with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders

• Comfort operating with autonomy under production pressure

• Ability to translate field learnings into clear product and research feedback
