Job summary

MINDEF in Singapore seeks a Safety Lead to establish and enforce safety policies across the Formation, fostering a robust safety culture so training remains tough and realistic.

You will plan safety strategies, run audits, conduct inspections and investigations, and train personnel in safety practices, reporting regularly on safety status to leadership to protect soldiers during peacetime training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety regulations and audit frameworks.
• Experience with safety investigations and incident analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate safety efforts, policies, directives and instructions.
• Lead Safety Audit preparation and management for the Formation.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance across sub-units.
• Carry out safety investigations and identify trends and root causes.
• Deliver internal safety courses and disseminate lessons learned.
• Develop and direct the safety workplan and maintain safety standards.
