Job summary

Protein Plus Group PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an intern to support new product development, from sourcing ingredients to trials and commercialization, with a focus on sauces. The role includes assisting sensory evaluations and ensuring regulatory compliance for materials used in the country of operation.

The successful candidate will conceptualize innovative products, work independently, and contribute within a collaborative team environment while learning in a food manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Biotechnology or related field.
• Meticulous, well-organized, and able to work independently.
• Willing to learn and able to work well in a team.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing new product development from ingredient sourcing, laboratory and kitchen trials to commercialization, focusing on sauces.
• Support in conducting sensory evaluation and approval of new and/or alternative raw materials.
• Conceptualize new and innovative products.
• Ensure all product creation complies with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within the country of use.
• Develop innovative solutions to help grow and add value to customers’ requirements, within cost parameters and manufacturing capability.

Ideally able to commit to at least a 4 months attachment

• To assist in performing new product development from ingredient sourcing, laboratory and kitchen trials to commercialization, focusing especially in sauces.
• To support in conducting sensory evaluation and approval of new and/or alternative raw materials.
• To conceptualize new and innovative products.
• Ensure all product creation complies with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within the country of use.
• To support in developing innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements, ensuring that any solutions provided are within the stipulated cost parameters and manufacturing capability.

Requirements

• Candidate should ideally be pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Biotechnology or related courses.
• Meticulous and well-organized, able to work independently

• Proficient in MS Office
• Comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment
