LACTO ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a product development specialist to innovate and formulate application-specific products. You will run product trials, optimize formulations, and support customers and the sales team with technical expertise.

The role requires hands-on lab work, strong food chemistry knowledge, and the ability to communicate in English and Mandarin. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and work with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Competenze

• BSc/Bachelor in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Hands-on formulation and lab work experience.
• Strong knowledge of food chemistry and processing techniques.

Job scope

• Responsible for product development and innovation, develop and formulate product for specific application.
• Conduct product trials and application testing in different kind of application categories.
• Optimize existing formulation for cost and performance.
• Provide technical support to sales team and customers on product application and usage.
• Conduct sensory evaluation and standard test parameter.
• Troubleshoot customer application issues and advice on solution.
• Collaborate with sales team on customer projects and presentation.
• Conduct stability testing and shelf-life studies.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration; conduct 5S activities and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
• Work closely with cross-department to achieve project goals.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc projects/task assigned.
• Able to work oversea occasionally.

Job Entry Qualification

• Min. Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Experience with food ingredients, and dairy related product.
• Strong knowledge of food chemistry and processing techniques.
• Hands-on experience in formulation and lab work.
• Good sensory evaluation and analytical skill.
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-salving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication skills in customer interactions and cross-department.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good command of English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required to effectively liaise with our English- and Mandarin-speaking customers and internal teams.
