Job summary

SEACARE MANPOWER SERVICES PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Food Lab Assistant to support teachers with food preparation, cooking lessons and laboratory activities. The contract runs for 1 year, from January 2027 to December 2027, with hours Monday to Thursday 7.30am–3.45pm and Friday 7.30am–3.15pm (45-minute lunch break).

No work on Saturdays/Sundays or gazetted holidays. The role requires WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certification; school or Nutrition & Food Science lab experience is

Qualifications

• WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certification is required.
• Relevant experience in a school or Nutrition & Food Science laboratory is preferred.
• Inventory or food laboratory experience is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with food preparation, cooking lessons and laboratory activities.
• Assist with food orders, delivery checks and ingredient preparation.
• Manage food supplies, stock checks and stocktakes.
• Clean and maintain food laboratories, kitchen areas, utensils and equipment.
• Ensure proper food and kitchen safety practices are followed.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the School.

Food Lab Assistant

Salary: $12/hour

Contract: 1 year

Start Date: January 2027

End Date: December 2027

Working Hours

Monday-Thursday: 7.30am-3.45pm (inclusive of 45-min lunch break)

Friday: 7.30am-3.15pm (inclusive of 45-min lunch break)

No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
