Job summary

MCI Career Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is hiring a procurement specialist to manage end-to-end purchasing for food distribution. You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in Purchasing or Supply Chain, FMCG experience, and Excel proficiency. SAP S/4HANA or ERP exposure is a plus. This on-site role offers a salary up to SGD 4,000 per month.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain.
• Experience in food distribution or FMCG is a must.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing activities, including PO preparation and processing.
• Source and evaluate local and overseas suppliers based on price, quality, availability and reliability.
• Request and compare quotations; negotiate pricing, terms and lead times.
• Follow up with suppliers on orders, stock status, shipments and deliveries.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers and internal Logistics/Warehouse teams.
• Monitor inventory, outstanding orders and deliveries to avoid stock shortages.
• Maintain supplier pricing, product specs and purchasing records.
• Resolve supplier, product quality, quantity, damaged goods and delivery discrepancies.
• Verify invoices against POs and supporting documents; update ERP accurately.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Logistics and Finance on requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and approval processes.
