Job summary

CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot for a full-time role based in the United Arab Emirates, with travel to Malaysia and Singapore for recruitment and programme support. The role focuses on delivering simulator and classroom training, maintaining licenses and qualifications, and supporting trainee development across multiple aircraft fleets.

Ideal candidates hold an ATPL with 3,000+ hours, including multi-engine turbine experience, and can obtain simulator instructor qualifications.

Qualifications

  • ATPL licence from a recognised aviation authority (EASA, FAA, GCAA, or ICAO equivalent).
  • Minimum 3,000 total flight hours, including multi-engine turbine aircraft experience.
  • Experience operating business jet aircraft in a commercial, corporate, military, or training environment.
  • Ability to obtain simulator instructor qualifications and regulatory approvals required by the applicable aviation authority.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, operational procedures, and CRM.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective simulator instruction, pilot evaluations, and constructive performance feedback.
  • Ability to maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver simulator and classroom-based training in accordance with approved programmes, lesson plans, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct effective briefings, debriefings, evaluations, and coaching to support pilot development and performance.
  • Maintain required licences, qualifications, certifications, and regulatory approvals.
  • Adhere to applicable regulations, training standards, and company policies when conducting training activities.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Support trainee development through performance assessments and remedial training recommendations where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training curricula, instructional materials, and training devices.
  • Maintain instructional qualifications and support additional training-related duties as required.
  • Obtain applicable instructor designations and qualifications within established timelines, including relevant FAA, EASA, or other regulatory authority requirements.
  • Obtain qualifications required to perform examiner duties, where applicable, on assigned aircraft fleets.
  • Perform Right Seat Support duties as required.
  • Carry out additional duties reasonably assigned in support of training operations.

Job description

This is a full-time opportunity based in the United Arab Emirates. Members of the ECFT team will also be travelling to Malaysia and Singapore as part of recruitment and programme support activities.

Our Instructor Pilots strengthen safety and operational readiness by preparing military aviators for critical missions. Leveraging advanced simulation technology and instructional expertise, this role supports the development of highly capable flight crews while contributing to the training and effectiveness of defense forces worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
  • Deliver simulator and classroom-based training in accordance with approved programmes, lesson plans, and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct effective briefings, debriefings, evaluations, and coaching to support pilot development and performance.

Compliance & Standards
  • Maintain required licences, qualifications, certifications, and regulatory approvals.

  • Adhere to applicable regulations, training standards, and company policies when conducting training activities.

Training Support
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.

  • Support trainee development through performance assessments and remedial training recommendations where appropriate.

Programme Development

Additional Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) issued by a recognised aviation authority (EASA, FAA, GCAA, or ICAO equivalent).

  • Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time, including multi-engine turbine aircraft experience.

  • Previous experience operating business jet aircraft in a commercial, corporate, military, or training environment.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain simulator instructor qualifications and regulatory approvals required by the applicable aviation authority.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, operational procedures, and Crew Resource Management (CRM).

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to deliver effective simulator instruction, pilot evaluations, and constructive performance feedback.

  • Ability to maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • ATPL: ICAO

  • Minimum 1500 Flying hours
