Job summary

Hai Soon Ship Management Pte Ltd seeks an experienced Marine Engineer to support the Senior Technical Manager in the technical operations of a tanker fleet. You will oversee maintenance, surveys, docking and ensure compliance with ISM/ISPS/MLC.

Requirements include at least 3 years on tankers as a technical superintendent, MOT Certification Class 1/2, and strong planning, organizational and communication skills. Travel on short notice may be required.

Qualifications

Sea-going work experience as Marine Engineer on tankers.
Minimum 3 years as technical superintendent or similar.
Planned maintenance system experience.
Strong communication and teamwork; able to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

Support Senior Technical Manager in managing technical operations of a tanker fleet.
Oversee daily maintenance, repairs, surveys and docking.
Manage budgets and cost control for maintenance, stores, and dry docking; ensure compliance with ISM/ISPS/MLC.
Coordinate with Classification Societies, suppliers and contractors on day-to-day operations.
Promote safety as a priority and lead crew development.
Monitor and respond to vessel inspections and statutory surveys.
Liaise with vessel management team and coach assigned officers.
Appraise crew and brief on policies and procedures.
