Job summary

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. This onsite role in Chin Bee, Singapore, focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including process diagrams, material balances, and specifications.

You will lead process improvement projects, analyze data to drive productivity, quality, and cost performance, and ensure EHSS compliance while supporting CAPEX projects and technology transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing or continuous improvement in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of process optimization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience in data-driven process improvement projects, including production efficiency, quality improvement, cost reduction, and CAPEX implementation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including PFDs, P&IDs, material balances, and process specifications.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, quality, capacity utilization, operational efficiency, and cost performance across the plant.
• Analyze process and production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, uncover improvement opportunities, and recommend data-driven solutions with measurable results.
• Drive operational excellence projects through process optimization, workflow improvements, time and motion studies, and adoption of best engineering practices.
• Ensure EHSS compliance by conducting risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and implementing safe operating processes.
• Manage and support CAPEX projects from planning through commissioning, startup, and performance validation.
• Provide technical expertise for process scale-up and manufacturing transfers from pilot to full-scale production.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, R&D, and external manufacturers for seamless integration and continuous improvement.
