Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking a skilled pipefitter to join our marine team in Singapore. The role involves handling pipe removal onboard, templating, fitting and re-installation, along with hotwork activities such as grinding, gas cutting and drilling.

You will also perform pressure testing of spools or systems when required. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in the marine sector, good communication, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in marine/maritime industry.
• Good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of pipe fittings and pipe welding.
• Able to identify problems and take corrective actions.
• Competent to provide ideas/alternatives in delivering the assigned work.
• Must be a team player and promote cohesiveness.

Responsibilities

• Handle pipe removal onboard, templating, fitting and re-installation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for accuracy of pipe fit up, maintain proper edge preparation and root pass gap.
• Must be a team player and promote cohesiveness.
• To ensure personal safety and others inclusive.
• In due diligence, to report any defects found on any tools and equipment to their foreman/supervisor.
• Always maintain good housekeeping and safety at all the time onboard vessel & workshop.

Key Requirements

• 2 Years above with relevant working experience (Prefer in Marine & Maritime industry).
• Good communication skills.
• Good Knowledge of pipe fittings and pipe welding.
• Competent to provide ideas/alternatives in delivering the assigned work.
• Able to identify problem and take corrective actions.
