Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering with CFD or Fire Safety experience.

• Knowledge of CFD tools and fire safety assessments required.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety design solutions and reports in line with guidelines.
• Apply CFD to analyze fire dynamics and behavior.
• Create CFD models using AutoCAD, PyroSim, Gambit and ANSYS Meshing.
• Run egress simulations to evaluate evacuation effectiveness.
• Interpret NFPA standards for compliance in studies.
• Complete fire safety studies to validate design.

Job Summary

Under the guidance of Senior Fire Consultant and Senior Fire Engineer, assist in preparation of fire safety engineering design solutions and reports in compliance with Singapore Fire Safety Engineering Guidelines 2015 and Fire Code 2013.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety engineering design solutions and reports aligned with Singapore Fire Safety Engineering Guidelines 2015 and Fire Code 2013 to ensure regulatory compliance
• Apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation techniques using software such as FDS (NIST), ANSYS FLUENT, and CFX to analyze fire dynamics and behavior
• Create and refine CFD models and meshes using AutoCAD, PyroSim, Gambit, and ANSYS Meshing to support accurate fire safety assessments
• Conduct egress and human evacuation simulations with PATHFINDER, SIMULEX, and STEPS to evaluate occupant safety and optimize evacuation efficiency
• Interpret and apply NFPA standards (including NFPA 13, 72, 92, 101, 5000) to ensure compliance in fire safety engineering studies
• Complete fire safety engineering studies or performance-based assessments to validate design effectiveness and adherence to regulations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering with relevant experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or Fire Safety Engineering
