Job summary

ignesis consultants pte. ltd. is seeking an Executive/Senior Engineer with experience in Fire Safety Engineering (FSE) or Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) to lead performance-based designs and fire strategy development across Singapore and the region.

You will lead fire safety designs, perform CFD and evacuation studies, coordinate sprinkler and alarm systems, mentor junior engineers, and support client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering or related discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering).
• 1–3 years (Executive) or 3–5 years (Senior) of relevant fire safety experience (design, CFD, report writing).
• Experience with sprinkler, hydrant, and alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver fire safety/fire protection designs for diverse projects.
• Develop fire strategies and performance-based designs; prepare technical reports.
• Perform CFD and evacuation modeling analyses as needed.
• Design and coordinate fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, alarms).
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development efforts.

Job description

We are seeking an Executive/Senior Engineer, preferably with experience in Fire Safety Engineering (FSE) and/or Fire Protection Engineering (FPE), for the role which will involve leading performance-based designs and fire strategy development, with opportunities for leadership responsibilities in projects across Singapore and the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver fire safety engineering and/or fire protection engineering designs for diverse projects
  Develop and implement fire strategies, performance-based designs, and prepare detailed technical reports
• Perform or support fire engineering analyses, including CFD and evacuation modeling
• Design, review, and coordinate fire protection systems such as sprinklers, hydrants, and alarm systems where applicable
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Support business development activities by contributing to project proposals and client engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline e.g. Material Science and Engineering
• Preferably 1–3 years (Executive) or 3–5 years (Senior Engineer) of relevant experience in fire safety engineering e.g. performance-based design, CFD, report writing or fire protection design
• Engineering (sprinkler, hydrant, alarm systems)
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as Singapore Fire Code and NFPA
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Fire Safety Engineer accreditation
• Candidates with strong Fire Protection Engineering background and willingness to learn Fire Safety Engineering
