Job summary

The Profile Group is assisting a Singapore-headquartered services organization to recruit a Financial Controller for its finance leadership team. This role reports to the Finance Director and oversees group accounting, reporting, and control functions while partnering with FP&A and regional management to support decision-making.

You will lead a sizeable finance team, own month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and ensure robust governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy with CA/CPA qualification and 8+ years relevant finance experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, a Singapore-headquartered organization in the services sector, is looking to hire a Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team as part of its business growth and operational needs. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a key role with broad responsibility for overseeing the group's financial accounting, reporting, consolidation and financial control functions, while partnering closely with the FP&A team and regional management to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.

The role will lead a sizeable finance team and take ownership of the group's financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring timely month-end closing, accurate consolidation across subsidiaries, and robust balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations. You will oversee cash flow and liquidity management, monitor key financial performance indicators, strengthen internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory and tax requirements. The role will also involve overseeing external audits, corporate tax and GST matters, loan covenant reporting and driving improvements in finance policies, processes and governance. Working closely with the FP&A team, regional stakeholders and senior management, you will contribute financial insights and analysis to support business performance and resource allocation.

Ideally, you will possess a Degree in Accountancy with a CA/CPA qualification and at least 8 years of relevant finance experience. Candidates with an audit background will be preferred. You should have strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience, be familiar with ERP systems and demonstrate the leadership ability to manage and develop a team while engaging confidently with senior stakeholders. A hands‑on, commercially minded professional who is organised, decisive and comfortable working to tight deadlines will be well suited to this opportunity.
