Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking a Financial Controller to drive financial reporting, consolidation, and statutory compliance for a newly established corporate office. You will work with global Finance counterparts to deliver timely insights to Senior Management and oversee cash flow projections.

The role requires a CA with a Bachelor’s in Accountancy and 7–10 years of finance experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate in a newly setup environment across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with Chartered Accountant certification.
• 7–10 years finance experience with consolidation of accounts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Able to work independently with regional/global counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Manage full general accounting and recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and consolidate accounts.
• Deliver timely financial and management reports including group consolidation, cash flow, budget and forecast.
• Oversee preparation of income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Ensure controllership aligns with FRS and internal policies; oversee annual audits.
• Ensure timely monthly closing and compliance with governance and local regulations.
• Coordinate with global Finance counterparts for cash projections and reports.
• Set up and maintain internal controls and processes.

Job description

Our client is an established global company in the marine and offshore industry, who is looking to start up a new corporate office in Singapore.

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role to deliver critical financial insights to Senior Management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the full spectrum of general accounting and record of financial transactions
• Prepare and perform consolidation of accounts
• Ensure timely delivery of financial and management reporting of group consolidation, cash flow, budget and forecast.
• Oversee the preparation of key financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Oversee the full controllership ensuring accordance with FRS and financial policies. Oversee yearly financial audits to ensure all local tax filings are completed correctly.
• Responsible for financial and statutory reporting to ensure timely monthly closing and compliance to corporate governance and local regulations
• Partner and coordinate closely with global Finance counterparts to prepare cash projections, financial and operational reports for insights to senior management
• Set up and maintain internal controls and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, with Chartered Accountant Certifications
• At least 7 to 10 years of finance experience, with prior experience in consolidation of accounts and knowledge of local tax regulations
• Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, and able to interact with stakeholders across different levels.
• Dynamic and adaptable to work in a newly setup environment
• Ability to work independently with regional and global counterparts
