Job summary

Mondrian Alpha invites a Financial Controller to join its Singapore team, overseeing financial control, management and statutory reporting across regional entities. You will manage month-end/year-end closures, coordinate audits and regulatory filings, and partner with stakeholders to elevate reporting capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with hedge fund or complex financial services experience, combines technical accounting expertise with proactive improvement of processes

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent and strong accounting grounding.
• Experience in financial control within complex financial services (hedge funds or similar).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and stakeholder management skills.

Mondrian Alpha is partnering with a leading global Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund that is looking to appoint a Financial Controller into its Singapore office. The firm has an established international presence and continues to expand its operations across Asia, creating an opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a high-performing team.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will take responsibility for financial control, management and statutory reporting across multiple entities within the region. The role will involve overseeing month-end and year-end processes, coordinating external audits, managing regulatory reporting requirements and working closely with stakeholders across finance, operations and the wider business. You will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting and broader finance projects, with a particular focus on enhancing reporting capabilities, strengthening controls and driving automation across existing processes.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent) with a strong background in financial control, ideally gained within a Hedge Fund, Proprietary Trading firm, Investment Bank or similarly complex financial services environment. We are particularly interested in individuals with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
