Job summary

Avaloq is seeking a Head of Strategic Finance Projects to reshaping global finance operations by linking Finance, IT and business teams. You will drive ERP consolidation, cloud migration, and strategic initiatives to enable real-time insights and scalable finance processes.

You will lead a global, cross-functional team, champion simplification, and ensure delivery on time and budget while elevating finance as a strategic advisor to the business.

Qualifications

• Strong proven track record of working in a similar role, ideally within a banking software provider.
• Experience with ERP platforms, e.g., SAP, including implementations, upgrades and finance modules.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects with timelines, budget, risks and stakeholder engagement.
• Evidence of leading at least one full ERP migration to the cloud for the full project lifecycle.
• Strong conceptual thinking skills and data analysis/visualisation, with ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Establish a robust project management structure for Finance and implement industry-standard methodologies.
• Develop detailed project plans and track milestones, budget, and performance with corrective actions.
• Independently execute key projects with a global team and optimize resources for quality, time and budget.
• Architect and lead the end-to-end lifecycle for consolidating two legacy on-prem systems into a cloud-based solution.
• Act as a change agent to modernise Finance and drive lean, automated processes with real-time insights.
• Lead and mentor the strategic projects team and foster innovative thinking.
• Develop and execute communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and trained on new systems.
