Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in payments, treasury operations, accounts payable, banking operations or financial reconciliations.
• Experience in a bank, finance company or other regulated financial institution is preferred.
• Strong numerical ability, attention to detail and a disciplined approach to meeting daily deadlines and cut-off times.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel; experience with accounting, banking or payment systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and follow through to resolution.
• A dependable team player with good communication skills, integrity and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• A positive attitude towards learning, a willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor daily payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform daily reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare daily finance and management reports.
• Maintain proper records and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with banks, internal stakeholders and service providers on payment and reconciliation matters.
• Support month-end closing and finance process improvements.
