Job summary

Tangspac Consulting Group in Singapore is seeking a Vice President of Finance Operations for a permanent role. You will lead the Finance Operations team, oversee payments and receipts, and coordinate reconciliations for clients and brokers across ASEAN, the UK and US involvement.

Candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance and 8–10 years of experience in finance with strong process automation experience, excellent communication, and team leadership in a securities broking

• Experience with finance automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience leading a team in finance operations.
• Understanding end‑to‑end Finance Operations in securities broking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages Finance Operations team.

• Lead process improvements and drive efficiency within the team.
• Provide guidance and support to the Finance team.
• Support ongoing transformation projects or new product launches.

We are helping a leading brokerage and investment bank with a reach extending across ASEAN, the UK and the US, to hire.

These include corporate finance & advisory, navigating debt and equity capital markets, derivatives trading, brokerage and research for both retail and institutional investors, and prime brokerage.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads and manages Finance Operations team
• Oversees the payment and receipt functions
• Reviews clients’ and brokers’ reconciliation
• Reviews Investment security tagging, update of last done price and investment reports
• Reviews daily entries for posting in accounting system
• Reviews payment, receipt, miscellaneous, and trade debtor reconciliation
• Reviews AML transactions
• Liaises with internal and external auditors
• Lead process improvements and drive efficiency within the team.

Pre-Requisites

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or related
• At least 8-10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance with good understanding of business processes in Finance operations.
• Prior experience in finance automation and digitalisation initiatives
• Good communication and ability to work collaboratively across different stakeholders’ groups and deliver timely results in a dynamic working environment
• Experience managing and leading a team
• A good understanding of end-to-end Finance Operations function in a securities broking industry is preferred
• Has a positive attitude, meticulous and a fast learner.
