Job summary

VP Bank Ltd Singapore Branch is seeking a capable operations professional to support Derivatives (Asia Structured Products) and Payments/Transfers. You will act as a SME for front office and head office Operations, handling lifecycle processes, confirmations, MTMs and daily reconciliations.

You will also manage payments, transfers and settlement tasks, liaise with head office, and contribute to ad hoc operations projects in a dynamic private banking environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business/Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the financial sector is an advantage.
• Solid data management capabilities and high attention to detail.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Derivatives (Asia Structured Products): Manage lifecycle processes (Equity and FX underlyings / Pivots / TARFs).
• Create and set up assets in the system and provide long-form confirmations for clients.
• Perform trade and cashflow confirmations to counterparties.
• Manage daily fixings until end of product lifecycle.
• Handle daily OTC FX Options and DCI fixings.
• Manage and upload daily valuation (MTM).
• Notify front office of early redemptions for structured notes (FCN/ELN).
• Be the SME for front office and head office Operations.
• Payments / Transfers: Process incoming/outgoing payments and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage delivery of securities free of payment and vs payment.
• Handle cheque and cash-related transactions.
• Coordinate with Head Office for reconciliation breaks.
• Special Condition Set-up / Handling: Amend and verify stock exchange orders.
• Manage retrocession and trailer fees.
• Other tasks: Client offboarding, write off securities, LEI applications/renewals, return mail management, mail physical output, archive management, be a cross-team contact, and support ad hoc projects.

Your Challenge

Derivatives (Asia Structured Products):

• Manage AC/DC Product Lifecycle Processes (Equity and FX underlyings / Pivots / TARFs)

• Be the subject matter expert for front office and head office Operations

Payments / Transfers:

• Process incoming and outgoing payments and troubleshoot when issues arise


• Manage the delivery of securities free of payment and vs payment (incoming and out-going)


• Handle cheque and cash related transactions


• Dealing with Head Office for Reconciliation breaks

Special Condition Set-up / Handling

• Amend and verify stock exchange orders


• Manage retrocession and trailer fees

Other tasks:

• Perform client offboarding related task


• Write off securities


• Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) application and renewal


• Handle return mail management


• Mail physical output


• Manage physical archive


• Be a point of contact across various teams in local and head office


• Perform any other ad hoc operations activities or projects as required to support the team

Your Profile

• Degree in Business/Finance or other relevant streams


• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Financial sector will be an advantage


• Experience in Avaloq application will be an advantage


• Basic understanding of financial products


• Meticulous and strong in data management


• Good command of English (speaking and writing)
