Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is recruiting for an accounting role based in Singapore. The successful candidate will handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, cash receipts and payment processing, and support month-end closing activities with journal entries, accruals, prepayments and staff claims.

The role requires at least a diploma or degree in accounting/finance and a minimum of three years of relevant experience, with knowledge of SST tax returns considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Hands-on experience in accounts payable, cash receipts and payment processing.
• Familiarity with month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of SST tax returns and corporate tax matters is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, cash receipts and payment processing.
• Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and staff claims.
• Monitor accounts receivable collections and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Review payable ageing, reconcile accounts and prepare vendor payments.
• Maintain cashbook records with accurate recording of transactions.
• Prepare SST tax returns and assist with corporate tax matters.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to verify invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents on accounting matters.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and comply with controls.
