You will partner with HO Finance in Europe, collect requirements from Asia and Europe, and document functional specifications to validate with business stakeholders. The role emphasizes accounting, liquidity management, regulatory reporting, and data reconciliation within a wealth-management banking context.

Role Summary

Our Client is looking for a suitable Business Analyst with some Project Manager experience . The role will be required to work closely with

• HO Finance in Europe who is the main sponsor and Product Owner.
• Users from Asia and Europe for Requirement gathering and UAT
• Various source systems team to analyze impact and propose solutions.
• Document Functional Specification and obtain business validation.

Important experience required:

• Strong functional knowledge in Accounting, Finance reporting, Recon process, Liquidity management, Credit risk and Local Regulatory Reporting (in order of priority).
• Strong Business Analysis experience in a Technology team, working on impact analysis, data quality, data reconciliation, data mapping, etc, and solid functional specification, presentation documentation skills to illustrate User cases to business stakeholders and Developers.
• Prior experience in implementing technology projects for finance domain in Wealth Management Banking service.

Main Responsibilities

• SME from Technology team responsible to analyze the impact of GL accounting setup/changes in core banking system and the impact on Financial Reporting.
• Perform study with the Group Finance to align on the requirements, data mappings and functionalities/scope.
• Organize workshops with respective stakeholders and assess business needs.
• Drive and plan the application impact analysis after Business workshop.
• Ensure the functional mappings/data comply with local and Group expectations.
• Documenting detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
• Business requirements consolidation and formal validation from sponsor/product owner.
• Translate the requirements into non-functional specification for technology teams to develop.
• Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensuring a smooth transition to new systems.
• Identify any bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure seamless integration and development of the application or data interface flows.
• Work with various Stakeholders, to implement the deliverables and to resolve challenges and issues.
• Involvement in full development lifecycle, from Elaboration->Build->SIT->UAT->Production.
• Responsible for the organization of the work in each project phase.
• Build and maintain the Demand Backlog and plan release scope based on estimation and capacity.
• Work with the development team, Business analyst, Solution architects, Application SME’s to design the functional solutions.
• Prepare Project governance deliverable required for each project release.
• Manage arbitration with business stakeholders.
• Monitor and control the deliveries of projects.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks and issues over the whole project course.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or relevant fields.
• At least 10 years of working experience as a Business Analyst.
• Hands on experience in the following areas are anticipated (or a mix) in implementations : Financial Accounting (Knowledge on Transaction movements, Accruals, Reversals for Trading and Banking book); Liquidity Management; Credit-risk (Collateral Management, Counterparty Risk); Regulatory Reporting (Knowledge on Basel IV, SACCR preferred); Core banking (Knowledge on Loan/Deposit lifecycle); Data quality, Finance closing and recon process.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role in Banking Wealth Management industry.
• Good working knowledge on WM investment product life cycle .
• Should have good knowledge and understanding of the information flow and various business functions in a financial services/bank.
• Should have knowledge on Accounting/Finance system implementation lifecycle.
• Experience working throughout the entire IT project life cycle; including analyzing and documenting requirements, workshops, testing and stakeholder management throughout.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.
• Able to conduct workshops with business teams and challenging the requirements.
• Collaborate with teams and work with groups effectively spread across various regions.
• Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple teams and other stakeholders to maintain harmony.
• Background from Business analyst and transitioned to PM would be value added.
