Job summary

SPH Media’s The Business Times in Singapore is seeking a journalist for the finance and markets team. You will sniff for newsworthy corporate changes, analyse financial health, and compare peers regionally, translating numbers into clear stories for a broad readership.

You should have a relevant degree and at least three years of experience, fluent English, and familiarity with capital markets regulation. A curious, independent contributor who collaborates well will thrive.

Qualifications

Relevant degree in Economics, Accountancy, Business, Finance or related fields.
Sharp news sense and at least three years’ experience in writing about Singapore companies.
Familiarity with regulatory institutions, economic and social issues, monetary policies, investment data, and other market indicators.
Fluent in written and spoken English. Familiarity with an Asian language is a plus.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively; committed to learning and adapting to storytelling.
