Job summary

Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH) seeks a Deputy/Assistant Editor for BT Global to drive original content across geoeconomics, business, and finance. You will work with a network of correspondents to deliver multimedia stories, graphics, data journalism, videos, and podcasts for Asia-focused audiences.

The role emphasizes shaping coverage, curating global content, and contributing to a daily regional/global newsletter, with a strong commitment to accuracy and insight.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in journalism, including business or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of Asia’s business, financial, and geopolitical landscapes.
• Proven ability to originate and shape story ideas.
• Excellent writing skills, with a sharp eye for detail, structure and audience engagement.
• Exposure to multimedia, data journalism, or cross-platform storytelling is an advantage.
• Interest or experience in applying audience analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with correspondents to produce original content, including news stories, features, commentaries, and analyses across geoeconomics, business and finance.
• Collaborate with correspondents and teams in the newsroom to produce content in multimedia formats, including digital graphics, data journalism, videos and podcasts.
• Curate and repurpose content from across SPH Media’s news titles for a global audience focused on Asia’s business potential.
• Contribute to a daily newsletter tailored for regional and global audiences.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, clarity, and insight, ensuring all content meets editorial benchmarks.
