Job summary

You will supervise full sets of accounts, support audits and tax matters, and mentor junior staff while ensuring statutory compliance across jurisdictions. This is a hands-on regional finance position requiring CA Singapore.

Job description

Our client is an established international trust and fiduciary services firm with a regional presence across Asia. They are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of their Singapore and Hong Kong entities.

This is a hands-on regional finance role covering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, statutory compliance and internal controls. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and the wider Group Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full set of accounts and day-to-day financial operations for the Singapore and Hong Kong entities.
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements, coordinating with the Group Finance team on regional reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and provide financial insights to management.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, including regular financial reviews.
• Manage cash flow, billing and debt collection across the entities.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting processes and financial procedures.
• Coordinate external audits and tax matters, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations and responses to audit and tax queries.
• Oversee payroll-related and statutory obligations across Singapore and Hong Kong.
• Support Singapore statutory and corporate compliance matters, including tax filings, annual returns and corporate governance requirements.
• Manage banking matters, invoices and the fixed asset register, including depreciation and related accounting entries.
• Perform accounting activities including bank transactions, reconciliations and journal entries using the company's accounting system.
• Review work-in-progress and billing reports with relevant business and operational teams.
• Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members and contribute to the development of the finance function.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant of Singapore (CA Singapore) qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Experience managing full sets of accounts, ideally within a trust, fiduciary, corporate services, professional services or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, management reporting and statutory requirements.
• Experience working across multiple entities and/or jurisdictions will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of Singapore tax, payroll and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior finance professionals.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting systems will be advantageous.
