Job summary

DICKSON INSURANCE BROKER PTE. LTD. invites a meticulous finance professional to oversee the finance team and manage the daily financial operations of the insurance business in Singapore.

You will ensure accurate accounting, timely closing, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with management on process improvements and growth initiatives. The role requires at least 3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, responsible attitude.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good working attitude and sense of responsibility.
• Experience in motor insurance is an added advantage.
• Well versed in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances, receipts, refunds, cheque payments and disbursements.
• Record and reconcile premiums, commissions, cancellations, refunds and payments to insurers, sub-agents and referral partners.
• Monitor AR/AP balances, follow up on overdue debts and ensure timely payments.
• Oversee monthly closing, journal entries, intercompany billing and financial statements.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations with insurers, customers, dealers and intercompany entities.
• Prepare GST returns and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate year-end closing and prepare audit schedules.
• Review transactions and master data to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and AR/AP reports, highlighting key issues and outstanding balances.
