Based in Singapore, you will partner with management, HR, and operations to support expansion, optimize costs, and ensure compliant financial practices across the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s financial strategy and long-term goals.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support expansion and investment decisions.
• Conduct regular variance analysis between actual results and budget, offering insights and corrective recommendations.
• Advise management on cost optimization, ROI, and capital allocation to drive sustainable growth.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) per SFRS.
• Ensure timely management reports for internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government agencies (IRAS, ACRA) for compliance and filings.
• Maintain documentation for ISO, Halal, and audit requirements as applicable.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support daily operations.
• Oversee banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and monitor covenants.
• Ensure efficient collections, payments, and expense controls; maintain reserves for operations.
• Implement FX risk management for overseas transactions or expansion.
• Develop and maintain product costing models for items like macarons, brownies, oat bars.
• Analyze gross margin by SKU, customer segment, and sales channel (B2B vs online).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement, production, and logistics.
• Support pricing decisions and promotional campaigns with profitability insights.
• Strengthen internal controls across finance, procurement, and inventory management.
• Oversee implementation and continuous improvement for financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity between accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks) and e-commerce/OMS systems.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team; foster accountability and high performance.
• Provide training on financial literacy to non-finance departments (sales, marketing, operations).
• Collaborate with management, HR, and operations on planning and performance reviews.
• Prepare financial models, projections, and investment decks for investors or lenders.
• Support fundraising activities, including due diligence, valuation, and capital structuring.

Job description

1. Financial Planning & Strategy

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Ensure accurate and timely management reports for internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government agencies (IRAS, ACRA) to ensure compliance and statutory filings.
• Maintain proper documentation for ISO, Halal, and audit requirements (if applicable to production or export businesses).

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support daily operations.
• Oversee banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and monitor loan covenants.
• Ensure efficient collections, payments, and expense controls, minimizing idle cash while maintaining reserves for operational needs.
• Implement FX risk management strategies for overseas transactions or expansion.
