Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of finance and accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, internal controls, statutory compliance, and audit management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive, and capable of leading a small finance team while supporting the Financial Controller.
• Committed to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee accounting activities performed by GL Executive, AR Officer, and AP Officer to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, management reporting, sub-group consolidation, and balance sheet reviews.
• Oversee inventory accounting, costing, stock provisions, cash flow, and working capital management.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Partner with Department Heads to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and operational targets.
• Analyze financial performance against budget, identify key variances, and recommend corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor revenue and cost drivers, providing insights to enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and risk management.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of management, board, and investor reporting materials, providing financial analysis and business insights.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance finance reporting tools and systems.

About the role

About you

• Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Good knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, internal controls, statutory compliance, and audit management.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills with high attention to detail.

• Effective communicator with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
