Job summary

CI Manufacturing PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the Group’s accounting, treasury and reporting functions from Singapore.

You will drive the monthly closes, consolidate results and provide insightful variance analysis to senior management. The role requires hands-on experience with financial controls, tax compliance, ERP systems (Dynamics 365 BC) and Power BI data analytics. You will mentor the finance team across Singapore and Myanmar while implementing process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; professional accounting qualifications are preferred.
  • Experience in financial reporting, controls and compliance across multi-entity groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close across the Group with timely management accounts.
  • Review financial statements, GLs, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany balances and schedules.
  • Prepare and review consolidated Group results with variance analysis.
  • Oversee AP, AR and billing functions with strong controls and timely invoicing.
  • Manage treasury activities including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Coordinate tax, statutory compliance and audit activities across entities.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and governance, including policy updates.
  • Drive budgeting and management reporting processes across the Group.
  • Promote process automation and ERP enhancements to improve efficiency.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes across the Group, ensuring accurate and timely completion of management accounts.
  • Review financial statements, general ledger accounts, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, intercompany balances and other key accounting schedules.
  • Prepare and review consolidated Group financial results and provide clear analysis of significant movements and variances.
  • Ensure the integrity, completeness and accuracy of the Group's accounting records and financial information.
  • Support the preparation of half-year and full-year SGX results announcements, statutory financial statements and annual reports.
2. Finance Operations – AP, AR & Billing
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other transactional Finance functions, ensuring that processes operate efficiently, accurately and with appropriate controls.
  • Maintain strong oversight of customer collections, outstanding receivables, ageing, billing and cash application, with particular focus on timely invoicing and cash collection.
  • Review credit control matters, credit assessments, credit limits, payment terms and expected credit loss assessments, while progressively developing team members to assume greater responsibility for these areas.
  • Ensure billing, receipts, payments and other transactional activities are processed accurately and promptly, and proactively address delays, exceptions or operational issues affecting Finance operations.
  • Oversee payment processing and review payment vouchers, supporting documentation and approval controls, stepping in on complex or exceptional matters where necessary.
  • Ensure Finance-related master data is accurate, complete, current and appropriately authorized, with suitable controls over creation, amendment, review and deactivation, particularly for sensitive information such as supplier bank details, customer credit limits and payment terms.
3. Treasury & Working Capital
  • Manage the Group's day-to-day treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, cash positioning and placement of surplus funds.
  • Monitor foreign currency exposures and execute approved foreign exchange transactions in accordance with Group policies.
  • Manage the administration and utilization of banking and trade facilities, including bank guarantees, letters of credit and other banking instruments.
  • Monitor working capital across receivables, payables and inventory and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide timely cash flow visibility to the Group Financial Controller and management.
4. Tax, Statutory Compliance & Audit
  • Oversee and review corporate income tax, GST, XBRL filings, statutory surveys and other regulatory submissions across Group entities.
  • Ensure submissions prepared by the Finance team or external advisers are accurate, complete and filed within statutory deadlines.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day Finance contact for external and internal auditors.
  • Coordinate audit requirements, review audit findings and drive timely implementation of agreed corrective actions.
  • Liaise with tax agents, company secretaries, auditors, government authorities and other professional advisers as required.
5. Internal Controls & Governance
  • Maintain effective financial controls across accounting, revenue, payments, treasury, inventory, fixed assets and other Finance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies, approval authorities and established Finance procedures.
  • Regularly review existing processes and controls, identify weaknesses or inefficiencies and implement practical improvements.
  • Maintain and update Finance policies and procedures where necessary.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller on Enterprise Risk Management and other governance initiatives.
6. Budgeting& Management Reporting
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes across the Group.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and identify significant variances or emerging financial issues.
  • Provide management with timely and meaningful financial information to support decision-making.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller on financial analysis, scenario planning and other business-partnering activities as required.
7. Systems, Automation & Process Improvement
  • Continuously review Finance processes and identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate duplicated work and reduce manual Excel-based processes.
  • Drive greater utilization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other technology to improve Finance efficiency, controls and data quality.
  • Identify opportunities to automate Accounts Receivable, reporting, reconciliations and other repetitive Finance processes.
  • Work towards shortening the month-end closing cycle without compromising the quality and integrity of financial reporting.
  • Act as the Finance process owner for relevant ERP enhancements and Finance-system improvement initiatives.
  • Encourage the Finance team to adopt new technologies and more efficient ways of working.
8. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, supervise and develop the Finance team in Singapore and provide appropriate oversight and guidance to the Finance function in Myanmar.
  • Ensure clear roles and responsibilities, appropriate delegation and accountability across the Finance team.
  • Establish effective work allocation, review mechanisms, cross-training and backup arrangements across the Finance function.
  • Coach team members to progressively take on greater responsibility and develop stronger technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Build a Finance team that is proactive, responsive and able to identify and resolve issues without excessive supervision or reminders.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement where existing processes are constructively challenged rather than accepted simply because they have historically been done in a particular manner.
  • Develop team capabilities and delegate responsibilities appropriately to reduce excessive dependency on individual employees and strengthen the overall Finance function.
9. OtherResponsibilities
  • Support the Group Financial Controller on corporate projects and other Finance initiatives as required.
  • Undertake other duties and projects appropriate to the role as assigned.
Job Requirements:
1. Experience

Approximately 8 years or more of relevant Finance and Accounting experience, with strong exposure to financial accounting, month-end closing, management reporting and end-to-end Finance operations, including oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Candidates should have meaningful experience managing or supervising a Finance team, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience in a listed company, multi-entity or regional Finance environment, or in a Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Manager/Financial Controller capacity would be advantageous.

2. Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or related field.

Professional accounting qualifications such as CA, CPA or ACCA are preferred but not mandatory where the candidate possesses strong relevant experience.

3. Technical Capabilities

Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.

Good understanding of financial controls, working capital management, treasury, taxation and statutory compliance.

Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be advantageous.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Exposure to Power BI, workflow automation, data analytics or other Finance automation tools would be advantageous.

4. Soft Skills
