Job summary

GOODLAND INVESTMENTS PTE LTD. is seeking an experienced finance professional to assist in managing comprehensive financial operations and reporting for the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting strategic decision-making.

You will lead finance teams, optimize processes to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency, and provide timely financial information to support management, budgeting, and project cost control across construction and real estate activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Experience handling full set of accounts.
• At least 3 years' experience in construction or real estate industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with Accpac Accounting software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to work independently and organize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including monthly and quarterly variance analysis, cash flow projections, and annual budgets.
• Provide timely financial information and analysis to support organizational decision-making.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with group accounting policies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Manage month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
• Monitor and manage financial aspects of construction projects including job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and work-in-progress reporting.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets and cost control measures to maintain financial guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations including preparation and submission of GST and statutory filings.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team by providing training, guidance, and performance support.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in finance operations.
• Prepare and analyze management reports for the group and its entities.
• Manage daily banking operations to ensure smooth financial transactions.
• Liaise with bankers on financing, treasury, and risk management matters.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for management as required.
• Collaborate with departments to gather and analyze data for project costs, revenue, and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor reconciliations, and payments.
• Provide financial and operational support to the finance team and subsidiaries.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Execute special projects and management requests as assigned.
