Job summary

Quess Selection & Services in Singapore is seeking an Accounts / Reporting Executive to join the finance team in the insurance/reinsurance sector. The contract is for 6 months with potential conversion to permanent.

The role focuses on financial reporting, insurance accounting and regulatory reporting, offering exposure to MAS regulatory returns and intercompany settlements. Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance is required, with up to 2 years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Up to 2 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or the insurance/reinsurance industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Post transactions and update General Ledger reports to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare prepayment schedules, shareholders’ reports and quarterly interfund settlements.
• Perform General Ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and import journal vouchers for Singapore and branch entities, including inter-company settlements, inward and outward bookings, exchange differences and cash book postings.
• Prepare accrual and receipt schedules.
• Develop monthly and quarterly work schedules to ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
• Process and prepare payments for MASNET charges.
• Assist the reporting team with the preparation and submission of MAS regulatory returns, including XFDF files.
• Support the team with ad-hoc accounting and reporting tasks when required.

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation in the insurance/reinsurance sector, for an Accounts / Reporting Executive to join their finance team in Singapore.

6-month contract with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position.

This is a good opportunity for candidates with a foundation in accounting who are looking to gain exposure to financial reporting, insurance accounting and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Post transactions and update General Ledger reports to maintain accurate financial records
