Job summary

BEATHCHAPMAN (PTE. LTD.) is recruiting a Finance Director for a global wholesale bank in Singapore.

This senior position partners with the Head of Finance to establish robust capital markets finance processes, covering MAS regulatory, statutory and P&L reporting, and to drive controls across the new entity. The successful candidate will oversee product accounting and regulatory reviews, and manage auditors, tax and regulator relationships.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required with solid MAS reporting knowledge.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar senior finance role.
• Experience with Global Markets products and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up processes for the new capital markets entity, including MAS regulatory, statutory, management and P&L reporting.
• Drive financial controls, reconciliations, and integrity of financial data.
• Review new products from accounting and regulatory perspectives.

Our client, a global wholesale bank, is hiring a Finance Director to join the team.

This is the first headcount for their capital markets business, you will partner the Head of Finance to help set up processes for the new entity, across MAS regulatory, statutory, management and P&L reporting, drive financial controls and reconciliations, review new products from an accounting and regulatory angle, and manage relationships with auditors, tax and regulators.

The successful candidate should come with the relevant accounting degree, with 5+ years in a similar role, strong knowledge of MAS reporting for wholesale banks and CMS licensees, and accounting for Global Markets products (FX, repo, bonds, credit financing). Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite for the role.
