Job summary

ING Wholesale Banking APAC Finance is seeking a motivated Finance Data & Analytics Intern to join our Singapore team. You will work at the intersection of finance and data, gaining hands-on experience with Python, data visualization tools, and analytics to support decision-making across APAC markets.

You do not need a finance background; we want curious, technically inclined students who excel with data and want to learn in a fast-paced, multi-market environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python - comfortable writing scripts, using libraries like pandas and numpy, and debugging code.
• Familiarity with Excel - pivot tables, formulas, and basic data manipulation.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills - able to explain data findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI or Tableau for financial KPI reporting.
• Support data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using Python (pandas, openpyxl).
• Help automate routine reporting tasks currently done manually in Excel.
• Run data quality checks and assist in reconciling figures across reporting systems.
