Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore is seeking a data analytics professional to drive the use of Finance data to deliver insights and support better decision-making across the Finance domain. You will work with business and technology partners to establish data governance and build analytics capabilities for smarter financial decisions.

Qualifications

• You have studies in Accountancy, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.
• A Master's in Data Science is an added advantage.
• Prior relevant experience in data analytics is preferred.
• Competency in data analytics techniques, data visualisation and interpretation of analytical results.
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, tools such as SAS, Qlik, R, Python and Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and IT skills, with a team-player mindset.

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, standards and practices.
• Develop dashboards, analytics and decision-support solutions to monitor performance, understand trends, improve forecasting and make better-informed decisions.
• Use financial analysis, modelling and analytical techniques to identify trends, solve complex business problems.
• Generate insights that support strategic planning and resource management.
• Identify opportunities, shape requirements and translate business needs into scalable data and analytics solutions.
