Job summary

Helius Technologies Pte Ltd is seeking an entry-level Finance Analyst based in Singapore (MBFC) to support daily Product Control and P&L activities within a banking environment. The role emphasizes financial data validation, P&L reporting, and coordination with Front Office and Middle Office teams.

You will perform end-of-day P&L production checks, investigate discrepancies, and assist with month-end closing activities, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of accounting, financial markets, or banking products would be advantageous.
• Comfortable working with numbers, financial data and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily end-of-day P&L production process, including data extraction, validation and preliminary variance analysis.
• Perform daily checks and investigations across financial systems to identify and resolve discrepancies relating to trade booking, market data, corporate actions, off-market transactions.
• Assist in investigating and resolving P&L and trade-booking discrepancies.
• Liaise with Front Office traders and Middle Office teams on financial data and transaction-related queries.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for issue resolution.
• Support the preparation and updating of desktop procedures and control documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet substantiation, Preliminary P&L commentary.

The role involves financial data validation, P&L reporting, trade-booking checks, discrepancy investigation, month-end activities, and coordination with Front Office and Middle Office teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily end-of-day P&L production process, including data extraction, validation and preliminary variance analysis.
• Perform daily checks and investigations across financial systems to identify and resolve discrepancies relating to: Trade booking, Market data, Corporate actions, Off-market transactions
• Assist in investigating and resolving P&L and trade-booking discrepancies.
• Liaise with Front Office traders and Middle Office teams on financial data and transaction-related queries.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for issue resolution.
• Support the preparation and updating of desktop procedures and control documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including: Journal entries, Balance sheet substantiation, Preliminary P&L commentary
• Ensure activities are performed in accordance with internal controls and audit requirements.
